Léonard Limousin (ca. 1505–1577/79) was a renowned French enamel artist from Limoges, celebrated for his exquisite works during the Renaissance. As the court artist to King Francis I and Henry II, Limousin perfected the art of enamel painting on copper, producing intricate religious and portrait panels that blended vivid colours, fine gold accents, and detailed figuration. His works, influenced by Italian Mannerism, are notable for their precision and delicate beauty, and remain key examples of Renaissance enamel art today.
